Sandoval Brings Up Scheana’s Past Affair

Jax is back, and he jumps right into his villain role for this episode of Vanderpump Rules. A joint brunch seems like a great idea until LVP finds out who is hosting the event. Katie may not be happy to have Jax back in the mix, but she is digging her new relationship with Schwartz now that they are divorced. Speaking of relationships, we get a glimpse of some more issues Scheana and Brock are trying to navigate, and Ally is getting tired of James‘ lack of compromise.

It’s a blast from the past… Jax has entered the episode, and no, this is NOT The Valley. It turns out that James and Jax, a duo that has evidently come a long way, have decided to host a joint brunch at SUR. Everyone will be in attendance, including Jax’s enemy, Katie. Jax has never really gotten along with her, but he is recently beefing with Katie since she is going around saying that he is cheating on Brittany. Jax seems to think that Katie is solely spreading this rumor out of vengeance as if the internet hasn’t been saying the same exact thing for years.

When it comes to LVP, Jax refuses to “bow down” to her just cuz she owns a few restaurants in Hollywood. I see he hasn’t learned a THING since his *hiatus* from television.

Scheana explains that she has been close with Brittany since the start, but she is especially tight with her since they have kids so close in age. Scheana thinks that Brittany is a safe place, and they tend to vent about their husbands, and Lord knows there must be a LOT of venting going on.

Scheana and Brock have been at each other’s throats lately, and according to Scheana, she feels like Brock is just trying to live up to misogynistic standards. Since Scheana is the breadwinner, it seems as though Brock is having a hard time.  Scheana explains that her intrusive thoughts caused by her OCD and anxiety have gotten worse recently, especially when it comes to rumors about Lala and Brock. She hates that her brain always goes to the worst scenario.

Now when it comes to Brock’s side of things… he is stuck on this nanny topic. Brock tells his buddy that he needs to step away from the house so he can “fill his cup,” but it’s hard because Scheana is the breadwinner. It is messing with his head that he is not bringing any money home to his household, and this causes angst.

Schwartz and Katie meet up for a one-on-one date — a phrase I never thought I’d type again. Katie wonders, “Who did that to him,” regarding his hair. Schwartz goes on to say that Jo asked him if he’s embarrassed by her and explains that they have cooled it with their whatever you want to call it situation. Katie talks dating, particularly when it comes to dating Tori, and it is lovely to see a light-hearted exchange between the exes.

Brock and Scheana head out for their anniversary date. Scheana understands that this night will be good for them, and they toast to technically two years of marriage. Scheana listens as Brock explains how he wants to help take pressure off of herl and she tells him to put the manliness aside.  It’s time for him to realize this is his second chance at being a dad. Brock becomes emotional and understands that this is the time to work on being a father in hopes of one day rebuilding his relationship with his other children. After a sparkler gets delivered to the table, the couple kisses and they seem more on track.

In what one can only equate to a bad ’90s movie, Schwartz scoops Sandoval up to get some tats. According to Schwartz, “This is a mid-life revival” …says the man who is getting his dogs tattooed on his shoulder. Sandoval chats as Schwartz gets inked, and they discuss Kyle Chan’s upcoming event in San Francisco. Sandoval continues to push the whole living together thing… but it seems like Schwartz has had enough of high-stakes monetary adventures with Sandoval.

James and Ally head to the Face Gym, and they discuss trying to find a dog-sitter to watch Hippie. Ally wants James to start making compromises. It is becoming very clear that James comes first in their relationship, and that leaves Ally attending events solo.

Later, Ariana is amped that her boyfriend, Dan, will be coming to San Francisco with her. Ariana explains that she hasn’t heard a counter-offer back from Sandoval, and Dan gives her some good advice regarding moving out.

It’s the day of the Jax/James brunch, and LVP is even more confused about having Jax involved than we all are.  LVP cannot believe that Jax would put his name on a poster for her establishment after he talked so much smack about her publicly.

When Jax enters the scene, he asks to sit down, and LVP shades him by saying, “If you have to.” She comes in hot quoting Jax and his podcast-sh*t-talking, and she goes on to say the only person who is not needed on the show is him. Jax claims that LVP hasn’t checked in on him for years, but LVP felt like she needed to say something to him about this before moving on. Jax tries to kiss her butt, but LVP is hip to his BS and mutters, “Kind of love you too, but you’re being really f*cking annoying.”

Jax makes his way over to the ladies, and Katie is less than thrilled to be around him. Jax spills to Ariana that Schwartz may be moving into the home she shares with Sandoval, despite Schwartz asking him not to tell anyone. Ariana just wants to know where her money is, and once she gets it, she doesn’t care what happens to the house. James invites the crew over to his place for a pool party after the SUR brunch, and he even extends the invite to Sandoval, but not before James reminds him what a jerk he’s been.

The airport is popping at James and Ally’s, and it seems like Jax doesn’t get out often because he is just yelling about getting drunk and having a babysitter. As Jax tries to seem interesting, Katie lets the girls know that she feels like Ally continues to make sacrifices when it comes to Hippie. James interrupts the girls and explains that maybe next year he may be ready to have someone else come puppy-sit. James gets upset talking about his “furbaby” and cries about never wanting to get separated from him again. James states that their souls are “conjoined,” and Lala becomes offended when James compares it to finding childcare.

Katie talks about the rumors that Jax is cheating on Brittany, and she cannot believe that Jax is blaming her for what the internet says about him. Jax gets heated and Katie straight up tells Jax that she doesn’t like him. Seems like some things never change, huh? Schwartz pulls Ariana aside to spill about his potential roommate situation, but Ariana cuts him off and explains that Jax brought it up to her already. Schwartz lets her know that he cannot even afford the rent, so the idea is dead in the water.

In the meantime, Brock bickers with Scheana about wanting to stay and hang out all whilst wearing a pink leopard speedo. Brock raises his voice loud enough that others at the party can hear what they are arguing about, and Scheana tries to switch gears by talking to Kyle Chan about her performances at his event.

Sandoval is not happy with Scheana’s new tune as Scheana makes it about her. She states that what happened in the aftermath of the affair messed her up, but Sandoval tells Scheana she needs to stop because she is not the biggest victim in this situation. Sandoval claims that Scheana inserted herself into this and wonders how it’s his fault that Scheana now has messed up thoughts about Lala and Brock.

As Scheana turns to leave, Sandoval reminds Scheana that she has been the other person in a relationship, and WWIII breaks out. Scheana basically has to be restrained (thank GOD for those nails, cuz if she *could* make a fist, I bet she would have hit him), and James is annoyed that Sandoval keeps bringing up the past… yet again… The moral of the story is don’t bring Jax and Sandoval anywhere. The end.
