Saint Patrick’s day is quickly approaching, and lots of places around central Georgia have already announced their festivities.

MACON, Ga. — Its almost time to grab the green from your closet and wear it out on the town!

Saint Patrick’s day is quickly approaching, and lots of places around central Georgia have already announced their festivities. 

Here’s some popular evets around the area to visit:

Macon

1) Saint Dolly’s Day Drag Bingo

Where: Reboot Retrocade and Bar, 566 Cherry Street in Macon

When: Saturday, March 16 at 7 p.m. 

This celebration honors the queen of country music herself – Dolly Parton! 

There will be rounds of bingo with prizes, drink specials, pop up drag performances, and a Dolly Parton costume contest!

The event is 18 years and older, and it is free to play bingo. 

March 16th at 7pm
18 and Up (NO COVER for 21+)

2) St. Patrick’s Day at The Brick

Where: The Brick, 1305 Hardeman Ave in Macon

When: Sunday, March 17 at 3 p.m. 

You can join The Brick staff for delicious food, green beer, and drink specials all day!

There will be lots of green holiday décor, free giveaways all day, and DJ Willie D from 8-12.

The drink specials include:

3) St. Patrick’s Day Party at Fall Line

Where: Fall Line Brewing Company, 567 Plum St. in Macon

When: Sunday March 17, at 11 a.m. 

You can start the day off with a green themed free yoga session at 11 a.m. led by Homegrown Yoga.

You can head into the taproom all day for green beer, and Rueben sandwiches at noon. They will also have a limited edition brew available, called End of the Rainbow.

4) St. Patrick’s Day at the Garden

Where: Society Garden, 2389 Ingleside Avenue in Macon

When: Sunday, March 17 at 1 p.m.

Live Irish music starts in the Garden at 1 p.m., followed by Daniel NeSmith and his band the Shade Trees taking the stage at 4 p.m.

There will be lots of green, so be sure to wear your best green getup!

5) Reckless Soul Saint Patrick’s Day Party at 20’s Pub

Where: 20’s Pub, 3076 Riverside Dr. in Macon

When: Friday, March 15 from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. 

Gather at 20’s pub for a green celebration featuring the band Reckless Soul, who will be playing all your favorite Country, Southern Rock, & Blues songs.

Dublin

1) Several St. Patrick’s Day events

No one celebrates Saint Patrick’s Day around central Georgia quite like Dublin! 

Their Irish celebrations begin in February, and last till the end of March. 

A comprehensive list of the events listed out day by day can be found here. 

The biggest of these is arguably the Dublin St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which will be held on March 16, which is dubbed “Super Saturday.”

The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. on West Jackson Street, with several other events during the day like and arts and crafts festival, quilt show, tennis tournament, Leprechaun Road Race, pub crawl, and more.
