Ryan O’Neal death: Love Story actor buried next to longtime partner Farrah Fawcett in Los Angeles

Ryan O’Neal has been buried beside his longtime partner Farrah Fawcett two weeks after his death.

The actor was laid to rest at Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park and Mortuary in Los Angeles, according to his death certificate, obtained by People

O’Neal’s burial service was held on Saturday, with photos showing his son Patrick O’Neal in attendance, as well as his ex-wife Leigh Taylor Young and a friend of Fawcett’s, actress Alana Stewart.

The Love Story star died on December 8 at age 82.

While Fawcett and O’Neal were never married, the couple started dating in 1979 and had an on-off relationship until her death in 2009. 

They fell in love while the Charlie’s Angels actress was married to actor Lee Majors.

Majors had asked O’Neal to check in on her while he was away filming, and they ended up on a date.

“We sat and kissed and kissed until our lips were bloody,” O’Neil told the Los Angeles Times of the date.

Fawcett and O’Neil share one son, Redmond O’Neal, born in 1985.

After Fawcett’s death in 2009, O’Neal told People, “I loved her with all my heart. I will miss her so very, very much.”

The Love Story actor died of congestive heart failure after suffering from cardiomyopathy for years.

His son,Patrick announced the news on Instagram, sharing that his dad, “passed away peacefully today, with his loving team by his side supporting him and loving him as he would us” alongside a photo of a beach at sunset.

Patrick has continued to share tributes to his dad over the past few weeks, posting an image of the beach on December 10 with the caption, “My dad always loved his dolphin friends. This morning they all showed up to say goodbye.”
