The nominees for the 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction class are as eclectic as ever, ranging from alternative standard-bearers Soundgarden, Oasis, the White Stripes and Joy Division/New Order to enduing jam band Phish, pop vocalists Mariah Carey and Cyndi Lauper and 83-year-old “The Twist” singer Chubby Checker.
Checker, Atlanta hip-hop duo Outkast and Phish join Bad Company, the Black Crowes, Joe Cocker, Billy Idol and Mexican legends Manä as first-time nominees. The latter is the first foreign-language artist to be nominated for the Rock Hall.
