Robyn Lively: Where is she now? How Teen Witch made Blake Lively’s big sister a star

Fans were delighted by not one, but two Lively sightings at the premiere of Deadpool and Wolverine.

As expected, Blake was accompanied to the event by husband Ryan Reynolds, but she had a second special guest present: her older half-sister Robyn.

These days, the surname Lively is synonymous with the Gossip Girl icon, but it was a different case back in the ’80s and early ’90s.

Robyn Lively began acting at age six, and was best known for her roles in films including The Karate Kid Part III and Teen Witch.

Her CV also includes screen credits in era-defining shows like 21 Jump Street, Doogie Howser MD and Punky Brewster, plus the second season of Twin Peaks.

In the mid-’90s she starred in hospital drama Chicago Hope.

Even before little sister Blake came onto the scene, Robyn had a family member in the business with her – brother Jason Lively, who is also an actor.

His credits include The Dukes of Hazzard, 21 Jump Street and National Lampoon’s European Vacation, in which he played ‘Rusty’ Griswold.

Robyn is still active in Hollywood.

She most recently reprised her Karate Kid role in the TV revival, Cobra Kai, in 2022.

She’s also popped up in TV series including The Mentalist, 30 Rock, Criminal Minds, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The Good Doctor.

In an interview with Oliver Hudson, the brother of Kate Hudson, Robyn admitted she envied elements of her famous sibling’s career.

The Teen Witch star said there were times she looked at Blake’s movements and “wished it were [her]”.

“In a healthy way, I do think, ‘Oh, I would die to work with so-and-so’,” she told Hudson on his podcast.

“That I do, because I’ve been in this industry for so long.”

Robyn added that as a child, Blake was “so shy”, and as a result her success in Hollywood took the family by surprise.

“Everything she’s gotten and she has, she’s earned,” she added.
