Riot Ten Brings the Ruckus With New EP, "Hype Or Die: Ballistic"

Riot Ten brings the ruckus and then some on his new EP, Hype Or Die: Ballistic, a tempestuous onslaught of bass music made for blowing out speakers.

The bass music community’s penchant for chaotic revelry gets cranked to 11 in this pulverizing collection, which fuses dubstep and riddim like atoms in a particle collider. If you prefer chill background music, steer clear.

With bone-rattling beats and in-your-face lyrics, Hype Or Die: Ballistic lives up to its name as a full-on auditory assault on the senses. Riot Ten kicks off with “Squad Anthem,” a wrecking ball of a collaboration with ECRAZE that sets the tone for the mayhem that ensues.

Other highlights include “Prepare to Die,” a snarling dubstep anthem produced alongside Felmax, and the Emorfik-assisted “Tekno Music,” an acid-infused genre-bender replete with propulsive, Blade-like production.

Fans of Riot Ten can now catch him live as he continues his eponymous North American tour, the biggest headlining run of his career. He’s set to hit Portland, Toronto and Los Angeles, among other major cities, before wrapping with a big performance in April at Excision’s Paradise Blue festival in Cancún.
