‘RHONY’ Jessel Tank on What Brynn Does for Work, Pavit DM

Jessel Taank shared what Brynn Whitfield does for work and reacted to the claim she made about Pavit Randhawa not being her soulmate on a radio show last week.

In an interview, Jessel, 45, addressed Rebecca Minkoff‘s claim about wanting to join the series to boost her business post-COVID,  and she responded to Sai De Silva‘s comment about Brynn, 39, “weaponizing” her trauma to take down Ubah Hassan, 41. Jessel also revealed which Housewives reached out to her about the Real Housewives of New York City finale, and she confirmed a second DM from Rihanna, 36.

“I know that she works, I’ve met people that have worked with her … PR and marketing … Kind of the same thing that I do. But she’s a little bit more on the corporate side,” Jessel explained of Brynn on the February 7 episode of SiriusXM’s It’s Me, Tinx. “[I] don’t understand why she’s not fully embracing that, like, career path … She seems to shy away.”

Looking back on a lunch she and Brynn filmed for the show, Jessel said that while her co-star was developing a startup dating app, she didn’t seem to want to talk about it.

“It was a bit cagey,” she noted.

As for Brynn suggesting that she said Pavit was not “the love of [her] life,” Jessel expressed shock at her castmate’s hurtful words.

“I have a serious relationship. I have a serious family unit. You know, everything I’ve built, I built, like, over so many years. And it’s just something, like, that could be so damaging,” she stated. “I hope she understands the weight of it. I don’t honestly know if she does, but I think I said my part.”

Although Brynn did apologize to Pavit, via a DM rather than a call or text, he didn’t see it right away, and Jessel felt that she shouldn’t have “embellished the story” the way she did.

“It’s not how you gain or build trust,” Jessel explained. “We trusted her. Like, she would come to our home, hang out with our kids … I opened my doors to someone, and it feels very much like I got stabbed in the back with that whole conversation. And Pavit hasn’t expressed it, but I think he feels the same way.”

Moving on to Rebecca and her desire to amp up business with her role on RHONY, Jessel mentioned that most women join the show expecting to gain exposure for either their business or a business they are creating.

“I don’t think she’s doing anything wrong by coming on the show and making that statement. But I wonder if it was, like, the only reason, you know, and I hope that it’s not because I think that the show in itself has so much more to offer than just to grow a business,” she shared.

Looking back at Rebecca’s first and final season of RHONY, Jessel suggested she wasn’t given a fair ride.

“I feel like she wasn’t given a safe space to be herself. I think she was being attacked by Brynn from day one, and you know, that immediately kind of [puts] you in a shell,” she reasoned.

Then, when asked about Sai accusing Brynn of “[weaponizing her] trauma to aid in the downfall of a friend,” Jessel admitted it “reads true.”

“I really don’t think [Brynn] understood the weight of her words. And that is a powerful thing to say. And I’m certain that Sai didn’t say that, you know, without thinking it through ’cause it felt like a very, you know, it’s a very direct accusation,” she explained.

Following the drama-filled finale, which resulted in the cast becoming estranged from Brynn, Jessel revealed she heard from Chanel Ayan, 46, and Dorinda Medley, 60.

“Chanel Ayan was so upset … She wanted to go to press. Like, she was so fired up. I had to walk her off a ledge … She was like, ‘Ubah says I can’t talk to press, but I really want to,’” Jessel shared. “She’s very protective of Ubah. So Chanel was definitely like, you know, invested. I saw Dorinda last week also, like, ‘What.’”

“We really struck a nerve,” she continued. “It’s supposed to be drunk women, like, falling back into bushes … [And] I think everyone’s just a little bit shell shocked.”

Also on the radio show, Jessel confirmed she heard from Rihanna for a second time after her glam became a hot topic on the show.

“Rihanna literally DMed me the day after, and she was like, ‘I live for your glam, can you introduce me to your makeup artist?’” she recalled. “[And] I was like, ‘A hundred percent yes. Like you would love her. Grace is incredible’ … [So] I introduced Grace to Rihanna. She went to her apartment and glammed her up twice actually. So, um, yeah, you’re welcome, Rihanna.”

No word yet on when production will begin on The Real Housewives of New York City season 16.
