RHONJ’s Teresa Giudice Talks Fans Turning on Her, & Luis Scene
Teresa Giudice opened up about fans’ reaction to the recently-ended 14th season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey while appearing on a podcast last week.
As she spoke about viewers turning on her, what she didn’t like about the finale, and the toxicity of social media, Teresa, 52, explained how she can relate to Taylor Swift, 34, addressed Luis Ruelas‘ comment about Margaret Josephs‘ son, and revealed when she knew her marriage to Joe Giudice, 52, was over.
“I do [have the best fans], but then when they turn, it’s crazy. I don’t know what happened this year. It’s crazy,” Teresa shared on the August 22 episode of Turning The Tables By Teresa Giudice, which was hosted by the ladies of the AllAboutTRH Podcast. “I guess I can kind of relate to Taylor Swift because doesn’t Taylor Swift write songs on all stuff that’s negative in her life and turns it into a positive? I guess that’s what I’m gonna do.”
“To all the haters out there, I still love, love, love you,” she added.
Looking back at the finale episode, Teresa said she was happy with all but one part.
“The only part that I was not happy about was the part, what Luis said about my cast member’s son, that was the part,” she revealed. “I said, ‘I know Luis did not mean that. Luis would not want to hurt a soul.’ And then he came out and he did put something on his Instagram. He apologized for it. That’s not what he meant.”
Luis’ comment caused quite a stir, with Andy Cohen, 56, shading the diss as “dark” and social media users slamming him as “inhuman” and “sick.”
“It’s so toxic out there that I unfollowed a lot of accounts because it’s like, I’d rather not see it,” Teresa said of social media. “I’m better like that. Out of sight, out of mind. When you don’t see it you don’t know and it doesn’t even bother you. [I’m trying] to protect my peace because it’s, like, it’s crazy. There’s so much hatred in the world.”
“People should really find peace in their lives and make life a better place. I’m all about what you put out there is what you get. What you reap is what you sow. I’m such a believer in that, so that’s why I try to do good because I want good back,” she continued.
As for the possibility of starring in her own spinoff, Teresa, who, along with the rest of the cast, is not yet confirmed for season 15 of RHONJ, said it would be “a lot” for her family.
“It’s a lot to have it all on your family, but listen, never say never,” she stated. “You never know what the future holds. I feel like it’s a lot of pressure when it’s just your family. That’s why I like being on the Housewives, because there’s other families.”
Also on the podcast, Teresa confirmed when she knew her relationship with Joe was over.
“When my mom passed away,” she revealed. “I was just like, I was so upset. I was so devastated because I felt like I lost time with my mom, which I did.”
“But I guess, listen, I’m all about, I guess, I think your life is already planned out, so what’s gonna happen is gonna happen, so this is the way my life was supposed to go,” she added.
