Gia Giudice seemingly addressed her mom Teresa Giudice’s feud with Melissa and Joe Gorga and said she’s “protecting” her “family” and only “speak[s] facts” – despite other people’s false narratives.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star also gave an update on her dad Joe Giudice, and she shared her thoughts on a potential spinoff surrounding her family.

Speaking with PEOPLE, Gia seemingly alluded to her issues with Gorga, who formerly stated that his niece is ‘too young to get involved’ in the on-screen drama.

“I’ve been an adult now for almost five years, since I was 18. So I’ve always gotten this image of like, ‘Oh, you’re a child.’ And I think this is what has just made me grow so strong mentally, want to create my own businesses, become an entrepreneur, because I’ve just never let the outside noise affect me and affect my family,” said the 22-year-old. “I’ve always stood up for what is right, for what is wrong…. The strong mentality has helped me create my business and grow as a person.”

She went on to say, “I learned to speak up for myself and speak up for my family because there’s just been scenarios where things weren’t true. And I took on that role to stick up for my family … and stand our ground.”

Though Gia stated that “most people” understand she’s “mainly just here to stick up for my mother and stick up for my family,” she said some people judge the fact that she voices her own opinion and is “such a big advocate for my family.”

She also teased the upcoming season. “I think you guys definitely see a little glimpse into my life for sure. I would say I’m on it a decent amount … maybe a little more than usual,” said Gia. “And I would just say this season, a lot of truth, a lot of clarity, and I think that’s the two biggest words for this season …  I think a lot of the viewers are going to be very surprised. I think this season is a head-spinner. I think a lot of people are just going to be happy and, I don’t know, I guess you’ll have to wait and see.”

The star then addressed her dad’s deportation following his time in prison. The 51-year-old father of four currently lives in The Bahamas, though he has expressed his desire to return to the U.S. to live near his family.

“I think the hardest part is obviously my dad isn’t here,” said Gia. “My family has been through a lot. And yes, of course my stepdad [Luis Ruelas] is absolutely amazing, but I feel like I am my mom’s right-hand man.”

She added, “This has been my biggest thing: I speak facts. I don’t speak anything that is a false narrative. And as much as I am Teresa Giudice’s 22-year-old girl … I’m saying my peace, I’m speaking the truth, and that is where I have gained my most strength from, basically just protecting my family.”

Gia then addressed the idea of a Bravo spinoff about her family. “I think it would be so much fun, especially if we could incorporate my dad too, and us going to The Bahamas and just showing how we really are such a blended family,” she stated. “My dad and Louie talk frequently… we are seriously such a blended family, and we really all do respect each other so much. And I know the fans, they always say we miss Juicy Joe. So I feel like it would be so fun to see us all together. I think that would really just be something different.”

“I think the Bravo screen would break, 100 percent … I think it would break the internet literally,” Gia continued. “And I think also people would just be so interested, ‘Oh, how do Joe and Teresa cope and how do they co-parent together?’ Meanwhile, it’s so easy. They are the same. They bust each other’s chops the same. They were friends before, so it’s just friends 1699710861, but not together.”

Concerning Gia and her sisters’ relationship with their father, the star told the outlet, “WhatsApp is our best friend. FaceTime is, too. But we honestly see him as often as we can. We do our best, and he’s doing amazing [and he’s] so happy.”

“He loves The Bahamas. It’s honestly so much more Americanized than people think. It really is the closest you could get to the U.S.,” Gia explained, sharing that her dad now oversees jobs at a construction company. “He makes sure all the workers are doing what they’re supposed to be doing, corrects them if they’re doing something wrong. So he’s basically back in doing what he loves to be doing and what he’s so good at.”

“He also has a chartering company that he does on the side,” the college grad continued. “I’m so happy that he was able to find his niche again because it’s definitely not easy. And just being deported somewhere and having to start from scratch, it’s definitely not easy on anybody. But he’s really grown so much and he’s really happy. So I think that’s the most a daughter could ask of her dad. As long as he’s happy, I’m happy.”

Addressing Joe’s personal life, Gia explained, “He’s been with this girl for a pretty long time … They seem really happy and she’s awesome. I really like her a lot. So yeah, I would love to start meeting her family and seeing what happens… I’m sure at one point my mom and Louie will meet my dad’s girlfriend and we’ll have a huge blended family.”

Though Gia would prefer to have her dad live closer, she admitted, “The Bahamas is a beautiful place … You can’t really be that mad that that is our second home! … But yeah, he’s doing really good. So we’re happy.”
