Dolores Catania appeared on a recent episode of Jeff Lewis‘ radio show, where she opened up about the possibility of making a cameo on the debut season of Bravo’s newly announced Real Housewives of Rhode Island.
Amid rumors claiming she’ll be crossing over to the new show, the 54-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star revealed if she could appear on the new episodes while also offering an update on her health, confirming she gained 20 pounds and suffered a “cardiac ablation.”
“There’s a weird Facebook account that’s making up a lot of nonsense that I don’t like,” Margaret Josephs, 58, noted to Jeff, 55, on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live as his co-host, Shane Douglas, spoke of Dolores moving to RHORI.
“I’m not gonna be a star … I will visit maybe,” she teased, confirming she has friends on the cast.
“I do, yeah, and they are wild … Wild,” she shared. “They’re not [RHONJ], but we’ll see. Jersey is its own thing, you know? No one, I’m very privy to all the shows now. I watch them all ’cause I speak on the podcast, The Two Ts, and I just want to say a really, you’ve gotta go far to beat Jersey. I’m not just saying that.”
During another segment of Jeff’s show, Dolores spoke of her weight gain.
“I’m having a really hard time right now. My Mounjaro stopped working. I gained 20 pounds … I’ve been looking for therapy for all my friends. I was having, I’m really having a bad time with this,” she revealed as Margaret noted that she “doesn’t look it.”
“She’s so hot,” Margaret added.
Then, when Jeff asked if she could switch to Ozempic, Wegovy, or another drug for weight loss, Dolores said she already “did it all.”
“So I stopped taking it for like a month … I had a cardiac ablation, so I did. I said, ‘Well, I might as well stop taking it anyway,’” she explained. “I had AFib.”
While Dolores’ longtime boyfriend, Paul “Paulie” Connell, also recently endured a heart ablation, she said she didn’t know what caused hers, as she said that his was “something different.”
“He had a congenital thing. I had something new … My heart was like, beating a lot, so I had to go in for a cardiac ablation,” she shared. “[But] I’m fine.”
Although Dolores said she’s “good” now, she added that she’s having to take “a bunch of medicine, like 10 pills a day.”
“It’s blood thinners, so I don’t get a blood clot. It is metoprolol, something else I’m on, and something else,” she revealed. “It’s like a formality now. I have to take it for the next 90 days, and then I should be done, so I’m hoping maybe that’s why I gained weight.”
