Annemarie Wiley is accusing the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) of launching a “defamation campaign” against her.

After the organization took to its Instagram page to call out the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 40, for “title misappropriation,” Annemarie confirmed she’s never claimed to be an anesthesiologist, suggested Crystal Kung-Minkoff, 40, accused her of such for a “storyline,” and apologized for questioning Sutton Stracke, 52, and her esophagus condition.

“I do not condone the ASA’s defamation campaign,” Annemarie began on her Story, as seen in a screenshot captured by Bye Wig Hello Drama on Instagram.

As RHOBH fans may have seen, the ASA shared a message with their fans and followers last week, which read, “The Real Housewives know a fake … Anesthesiologists are medical doctors with more than 12 years of higher education and up to 16,000 hours of clinical training. Title misappropriation has no place in health care.”

But according to Annemarie, she never lied about her profession, as Crystal alluded to.

“I am a CRNA, a certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. I am extremely proud of my profession. I will not be accused of title misappropriation because a [castmate] needed a [storyline] on a reality TV show,” Annemarie stated. “This is my real life and my career. I am not an anesthesiologist, nor have I ever claimed to be one. I have immense respect for physician anesthesiologists, show respect to CRNAs as well. This type of unhealthy discourse only causes friction and professional division.”

“Political issues exist between physician anesthesiologists and CRNAs, which explains their current attack on me and the CRNA profession,” she continued of the ASA. “Our goal as anesthesia providers should always be working together in order to best serve our patients, not competing with one another. My aim is to educate the public on who CRNAs are and what we do in providing the highest quality of anesthesia care to those we serve.”

In another post, also shared by Bye Wig Hello Drama, Sutton offered an apology for her many questions regarding Sutton’s esophagus.

“The esophagus storyline was not funny,” she admitted. “Watching the show back now, I hate that storyline just as much as everyone else. I would be mad at me too. It was a line of questioning I should have never started — and for that I sincerely apologize. That storyline was inauthentically dragged on for far too long, and I have been dragged through the mud in the process.”

“I just want to highlight the ‘Real’ in Reality TV,” she added.
