Kylie Minogue has polished off her acting chops and brought Jason Donovan along for the ride.
It’s been 37 years since Minogue, 54, and Donovan, 54, first shared the screen as Charlene and Scott in Neighbours, but a special Red Nose Day 2023 skit saw the former on- and off-screen couple reunite.
It was for a special charity edition of BBC’s hit sitcom Ghosts, which saw Minogue arrive at Button House to tour it as a possible concert venue, and when she was left alone with the ghosts, she told them all to “shut up” – letting on that she too can actually see and hear the supernatural beings.

She even tells the ghosts how she came into her special power, saying, ”You know the roller-skating montage in the Spinning Around video? I had a fall, banged my head, and now I can see ghosts.”
The ghosts refuse to believe that Minogue is, in fact, the real Aussie superstar, so she calls up Donovan on FaceTime so he can confirm her identity.
”Can you please just say it?” Minogue asks Donovan, who is seen walking along a beach on the other end of the phone.
Donovan simply replies: ”You’re Kylie Minogue.”

It was only a six-second-long cameo, but it’s sent fans into a frenzy online.
”Best sketch ever,” one person wrote, while another described it as “just perfect”.
“Absolutely brilliant,” another fan tweeted.

Minogue and Donovan’s Charlene and Scott married in Neighbours during an episode watched by two million Australians, aired on July 1, 1987.
When it aired in the United Kingdom one year later, it was viewed by 19.6 million people, making it the United Kingdom’s third most-watched show of 1988.
Last year, Minogue and Donovan – who dated in real life for three years until 1989 – reunited on-screen as Scott and Charlene in what was believed to be the final episode of Neighbours.
After the couple broke up, Minogue dated late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence. Earlier this year, it emerged that Minogue and Paul Solomons had called it quits after five years of dating.
Donovan, meanwhile, has been married to Angela Malloch since 2008, and they share three children together.
