Paige DeSorbo is future-proofing her fertility and has made the decision to freeze her eggs.
The Southern Charm star opened up about why she’s doing it on a recent episode of the Giggly Squad podcast, which she co-hosts with her best friend Hannah Berner.
The 32-year-old, who also has polycystic ovary syndrome, said she was doing it as a “security” and joked it was just on the list of things she wanted to get done in January.

“On Monday I am going for my first appointment for, I was gonna say IVF, to freeze my eggs,” DeSorbo revealed.
“Oh wait, that’s huge. What made you make that decision?” Berner asked.

“Well, I wanted to do it, I would say probably last year, I was probably in the spring, I was like, ‘OK, 2025, I’m freezing my eggs’,” she replied.
“And I had it on my list, because … I was like, ‘OK, tour is over, I’m just gonna chill the month of January’. And I had a list of things I wanted to get done in the month of January.

“So that was one of my goals, so I made my first appointment.”
DeSorbo admitted the hardest part about the experience is going to be picking two weeks where she’s going to be at home to do the injections.
“I need it as a security,” she said.
“It is like making me relax a little bit though, knowing that I’m doing it.”

The decision to freeze her eggs comes weeks after she announced that she had split from her longtime partner Craig Conover.
It’s not clear when Conover and DeSorbo officially broke up, with the news announced on an episode of her podcast in late December.

The couple had been together for three years, and had discussed the possibility of having children together in the future.
Conover, 35, had already gone down the road of freezing his sperm, sharing the experience with Southern Charm co-stars Austen Kroll and Shep Rose on a recent episode.
“I would be remiss to not say that becoming a dad is like, probably like, a, whatever it’s called when it has to happen in my future,” he explained.
