Prince Harry Loses UK Government Security Court Battle

Prince Harry has lost his latest court challenge, a battle against the UK government over his level of security when in the UK.

Since moving to LA with wife Meghan Markle and removing some of his royal duties, Harry has bene trying to overturn the rule that saw his security status downgraded, and his lawyers argued there was unfairness in how the decision was made, according to the BBC.

In the past few minutes, however, he has lost his high court challenge, the latest for the Prince who has come up against the UK courts on several occasions over the past year or so.

Earlier this month, he was awarded “substantial” further damages in the remaining part of his phone hacking claim against Mirror Group Newspapers, and followed this up with a war of words with arch nemesis Piers Morgan.

Elsewhere, he recently dropped a libel claim against the publisher of the Mail on Sunday over an article also relating to his security arrangements, which cost him hundreds of thousands of pounds. The Prince and a group including Elton John are suing the same publisher over allegations of unlawful information gathering, which a judge recently ruled can go to trial.
