There is a good reason that a major character from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians books won’t be appearing in season 1. Unfortunately, one of the major figures in Camp Half-Blood won’t be making his debut in Percy Jackson season 1. Due to his appearance potentially constraining the special effects budget, Riordan’s production company, Mythomagic Inc, took to Threads to announce that Argus will not be in the show.
