Peggy Sulahian on What Was “Edited” From ‘RHOC’ Costars’ Fight
Real Housewives of Orange County alum Peggy Sulahian shared what was “edit[ed]” from a past fight between Kelly Dodd and Shannon Beador. She also revealed how the cast behaves when the “cameras stop rolling.”
Peggy was a main castmate in season 12, but didn’t return the following season. She was the first Armenian ‘Housewife’ to be cast on the show, and she largely stayed out of the drama.
“I remember on the show, one was hitting the other one’s leg,” recalled Peggy on the “All About TRH” podcast. “Like, Kelly would hit Shannon’s leg, like start b**ching at her.”
“And I would say, ‘Why are you doing that?’ And they edit[ed] that,” she went on. “Like I would straight out tell her, ‘Why are you hitting her leg?’ And then one would leave to go to the bathroom because they don’t want to get involved. And then I would think to myself, why did she leave when there’s a conversation going on?”
But according to Peggy, some of the drama seemingly disappeared off-camera.
“When they sit down, it’s all of a sudden they’re catty. And then when cameras stop rolling, all of a sudden they’re like saying hi to each other,” she shared. “I’m like … what part of this is true and what part of this is false? … You got to know how to play the game.”
She indicated that castmates “on the side” would discuss their “plan.” The alum also claimed production would instruct them on what to discuss in certain scenes.
“Production would come up to you and say like, ‘You’re gonna go to lunch with such and such, and you’re gonna talk about such and such [topic],” she stated. “But they wouldn’t tell you what to say.”
In the current season of the show, fans have accused Tamra Judge of orchestrating an attack on Shannon, her former friend who was arrested after a DUI. According to her critics, Tamra will throw any castmate under the bus when cameras start rolling.
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Thursday nights on Bravo.
