MACON, Ga. — If you drive over the Ocmulgee River, you might notice that water levels are elevated, and it is having implications at Amerson River Park.
Macon-Bibb County posted on Facebook saying that parts of Amerson River Park have been closed due to the rising water levels.
“HEADS UP! Parts of Amerson River Park are closed due to the rising levels of the Ocmulgee River,” the county posted on Facebook. “Keep an eye out as you enjoy the park!”
The county’s Facebook post does not say explicitly where in the park is closed. However, they say that they’re keeping safety at the front of mind.
“We’ll reopen those sections once they’re safe,” the county said on Facebook.
