GRAND HAVEN — An open house event set for Dec. 5 will give community members a chance to see the Momentum Center’s new, recently renovated Grand Haven location.
The center is welcoming the community for an open house 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 401 N. Seventh St. The new location was formerly the Rendezvous Restaurant.
The open house will include a tour of the renovated facility and free refreshments. A presentation scheduled for 5 p.m. with key stakeholders and donors, will provide updates on the “Building Momentum” campaign and share plans for the building.
The larger space is expected to allow the organization to double its membership, from 200 to 400. It will also allow for increased participation in community events, activities and conversations.
The Building Momentum campaign has raised over $1.6 million of its $2 million goal, including over $800,000 raised through community volunteers and a $700,000 MEDC grant for the second phase of the campaign. The purpose of the campaign is to finance the purchase of the new location and secure the Momentum Center’s long-term financial sustainability.
