Northern Lights YMCA sets Burn the Bird workout | News, Sports, Jobs

ESCANABA — The Northern Lights YMCA announces its upcoming fitness event, “Burn the Bird,” scheduled on November 23 from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the Northern Lights YMCA’s large gym.

As the Thanksgiving season approaches, the Northern Lights YMCA invites members and non-members of all fitness levels to come together for a fun and heart-pumping workout session. “Burn the Bird” is an opportunity to stay active and healthy, connecting with the community and supporting a noble cause.

Cost to attend is two canned goods (or non-perishable food items).

“Burn the Bird” is open to everyone, regardless of fitness level or age. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just starting your fitness journey, our experienced instructor will guide you through an energizing and inclusive workout suitable for all.

“We believe in giving back to the community, especially during the holiday season. That’s why we’ve made the entry fee for “Burn the Bird” a simple donation of two canned goods or non-perishable food items. All collected items will be donated to a local food bank to support families in need,” organizers said.

Participants can look forward to a dynamic and enjoyable workout that will help them burn off those extra Thanksgiving calories. A certified fitness instructor will lead the event, ensuring a safe and effective workout for all attendees.
