Nobuo Uematsu retiring from composing gaming music after Fantasian Neo Dimension
By now, you’re more than likely aware of Fantasian Neo Dimension. The game is an enhanced version of Fantasian, which was released by Square Enix in 2021. Fantasian Neo Dimension was officially confirmed to be releasing on the Nintendo Switch on December 5th, so it isn’t that long before the game will be launching.
That all said, the game’s launch will be a little bittersweet. The game’s music composer, Nobuo Uematsu, has announced that Fantasian Neo Dimension will be his final game as the composer of video gaming music. Uematsu’s resume of composing music for video games goes back almost 4 decades. He’s most notable for being the composer of various Final Fantasy soundtracks.
