Nintendo announces end of regular updates for Splatoon 3
Believe it or not, Splatoon 3 has already been available to play for a couple of years now. Since then, the game has received a very steady stream of support, including new Splatfests, updates, and additional content and features. However, with the announcement of the Grand Festival Splatfest, there was speculation that Nintendo was about to take a step back from supporting the game in some way.
Well, it seems that that is the case. After the results of the Grand festival were posted, Nintendo confirmed via a social media post from the North American Splatoon account that regular updates will be coming to a close. What this means is that there will no longer be any new Splatfest themes, and updates containing new content have now stopped. However, there will still be Splatfests with returning themes, and updates for weapons adjustments will still be released whenever they’re needed. Big Run, Eggstra Work, and Monthly Challenges will also continue. You can see the social media post relaying the news down below.
