Nicole Kidman reveals the sweet daily ritual she and Keith Urban enjoy as she discusses their 18-year-marriage

Nicole Kidman has spoken candidly about her marriage to rocker Keith Urban.

The acclaimed Australian actress, 57, who married Urban back in 2006, opened up about their 18-year union while interviewing Victoria Beckham for Vogue Australia.

The Moulin Rouge star sweetly called Urban, 56, her “solace” and revealed the ritual they do every morning to strengthen their bond: going for a walk together and holding hands.

“I’m so lucky that I found it,” she said about finding love with the Blue Ain’t Your Color (sic) rocker.

“It’s such an unstable industry and he’s my solace. Every day we get up in the morning and we go for a walk – and we hold hands.

“We love holding hands.”

Kidman added that it’s important to also not only “love” the person you’re with, but to actually “really like them”.

“God it helps,” she said.

Beckham also lifted the lid on her marriage to footballer David Beckham, and said she thinks the key to a happy union is “about respecting each other” and finding someone who “changes and evolves and grows older with you”.

The superstar couple married back in 1999 in a lavish wedding and recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.

Their wedding inside an Irish castle was complete with matching purple outfits and thrones.

Nicole and Keith meanwhile met at a G’Day LA event back in 2005 and married in 2006.

Urban previously told Entertainment Tonight about their first meeting, saying he felt like he “was meeting a bit of a real-life princess”.

“I was trying to play it cool, but inside I’d felt like I snuck into the wrong ball simply because Nic had such a truly otherworldly aura about her, and I felt like I was meeting a bit of a real-life princess,” he said.
