Netflix Reveals New Cast Members For One Piece Season 2

Netflix has announced the latest cast additions for the forthcoming second season of the surprise hit live-action adaptation of One Piece. The new cast members will fill out the roles of Miss Valentine, Mr. 3, Mr. 5 and Mr. 9 from the manga’s Whisky Peak and Little Garden arcs as the members of the Baroque Works criminal organization. 

David Dastmalchian will play Mr. 3, Jazzara Jaslyn will play Miss Valentine, Camrus Johnson will play Mr. 5 and Daniel Lasker will play Mr. 9. Netflix has also released an official cast image, featured below.

Mexican actor Iñaki Godoy stars as Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. In addition to the Straw Hats, the ONE PIECE cast includes Morgan Davies as Koby, Aidan Scott as Helmeppo, Vincent Regan as Vice Admiral Garp, Langley Kirkwood as Captain “Axe Hand” Morgan, Craig Fairbrass as Zeff, Peter Gadiot as Shanks, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino as Alvida, Jeff Ward as Buggy the Clown, Alexander Maniatis as Klahadore, McKinley Belcher III as Arlong, and Steven Ward as Dracule Mihawk. Colton Osorio plays Young Luffy, Maximilian Lee Piazza plays Young Zoro, Lily Fisher plays Young Nami, Kevin Saula plays Young Usopp, and Christian Convery plays Young Sanji.

Showrunner Chris Owens previously revealed that Dr. Kureha will play a part in Season 2, with other fan favorites next season, remarking “Oda told everyone we’ll be meeting Chopper in Season 2.” The Straw Hats are also going to be in the Grand Line.”

Filming for the second season was expected to commence this month according to What’s On Netflix. ONE PIECE was the No. 1 title globally on Netflix with over 37.8 million views amassed in less than two weeks since its release last August. The series reached the Top 10 in 93 countries and debuted at No. 1 in 46. The series was also Certified Fresh with a 96% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes from 10,000+ ratings.

Eiichiro Oda, Marty Adelstein, and Becky Clements executive produce One Piece for Netflix through Tomorrow Studios, along with Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes, and Joe Tracz. Tracz replaces Steven Maeda as co-showrunner for Season 2 and will work alongside Season 1 showrunner Chris Owens.
