Morgan Wade reacted to Dorit Kemsley’s claim that her friendship with Kyle Richards has worsened since she and the country singer got close. She also revealed the meaning of her hit song “27 Club” – which, according to rumor, was about the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star.

In the song, Morgan mentions a “Beverly Hills hottie.” She wrote about lying in bed with someone she “saw on TV,” and they must walk out “separate” because the person is “famous” and “can’t be seen with me.”

Last Friday, Morgan responded to Dorit’s claim that she and Kyle are less close since Kyle’s relationship with Morgan.

“Wow, I didn’t see that,” said Morgan, via Daily Mail. “I don’t have any thoughts [on it].”

The singer revealed that she and Kyle will spend the holidays separately, and she addressed the idea of returning to RHOBH as a guest again.

“I’m good,” said the performer. “Nothing against anybody or anything, that’s all cool, but I’ll leave that for them. I’ll leave it to the pros … It’s different for me. I mean, it’s not what I do, but you know, it’s cool for other people.”

“I play music. That’s what I’m good at,” she explained.

In an interview with American Songwriter, Morgan addressed the meaning of her song “27 Club,” which is rumored to be about Kyle.

“[’27 Club’ is] a song I’ve written in different times in my life, and adding the last verse is what finished that song,” said Morgan, via @byewighellodrama on Instagram. “I wrote that the day before I went in the studio. I turned 28 [last] December.”

The last verse of the song refers to the list of celebrities who died at age 27: ‘I don’t know if I would call it luck. But I, I didn’t make the twenty-seven club — I’m twenty-eight — So, y’all ain’t gotta dig my grave.’

“As far as the other verses, I had written that a long time ago, the very first time I think I had went overseas,” Morgan continued in her interview. “I don’t know what made me write that last verse the night before I went to the studio, but I was just sitting there, playing with my guitar. I remember I had come up with this idea for this song, and I had put a verse about being out in Los Angeles and stuff like that.”

“I’ve actually never even stayed at the Chateau. I have a lot of friends that go out there, but it’s like I’m being looked at differently now, making friends and being around [different] people than before I had Reckless out. Because you know, I was a different person then,” she went on. “People look at me in a new light and in a different way.”

She said the person who wrote “Wilder Days” is no longer here.

“That was a different time for me, just going through the motions of navigating this new life and with my mental health, too—thinking for a long time about how long I was going to make it, with my suicidal tendencies and the things that I’ve struggled with,” she said. “I thought it was a really good way to close out the record and that chapter of my life.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
