Megan Thee Stallion Reclaims Nicki Minaj Collab For Tour

Megan Thee Stallion appears to have taken her feud with Nicki Minaj up a level by renaming her 2024 tour after a collaboration the artists dropped before their bitter split.

Speaking with Good Morning America in a story that aired on Tuesday (January 30), the “Hiss” rapper revealed that she will be embarking on the Hot Girl Summer Tour this year, and will be gracing fans with a new album as well.

In the interview, Megan shared: “I feel like I’ve never been able to be outside doing my own thing during the summer, since like 2019.”

“This is gonna be the first time I drop an album on time for the summer. I do want to give the hotties the Megan Thee Stallion experience.” Check out the clip below.

“Hot Girl Summer” is the name of Megan’s 2019 collaboration with Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign. The track was named after Megan’s viral catchphrase.

During a 2019 interview with The Root, Megan explained that “Hot Girl Summer” is an inclusive term that aims to encourage both men and women.

“It’s just basically about women and men being unapologetically them,” she said. “Just having a good-ass time, hyping up your friends, doing you, not giving a damn about what nobody gotta say about it.”

Megan and Nicki have been locked in a heated battle over the last several days, beginning when Megan seemingly mocked Nicki’s husband’s attempted rape conviction and subsequent inclusion on the New York State sex offender registry on “Hiss,” causing the Queen hitmaker to dedicate a whole song targeting the Houston native.

“Big Foot” finds Nicki making a number of lurid accusations about Megan, spitting: “How you fuck your mother man when she die?/ How you go on Gayle King and can’t cry? Chile, bye/ Big foot, but you still a small fry/ Swearing on your dead mother when you lie.”

On the Billboard Hot 100, “Hiss” is on track to crack the top 10 in its first week, which would earn Megan her first top 10 debut as a solo artist.

Sales projections for Nicki’s answer track “Big Foot,” which was released three days after Megan’s song, have yet to be revealed.
