Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have called off their engagement for now, though it doesn’t seem like the pair have called it quits entirely.
Fox made an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast in an episode published on Wednesday (March 20). While she explained that the current status and details of their relationship will be kept private, she did confirm that previous rumors about their engagement ending are indeed true.
“I think that what I’ve learned from being in this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption,” Fox said. “I think, as of now, I don’t have a comment on the status of the relationship, per se. What I can say is [he] is what I refer to as being my ‘twin soul’ and there will always be a tether to him, no matter what.”
She continued: “I can’t say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow. Beyond that, I’m not willing to explain.”
The pair first confirmed their relationship in June of 2020 soon after sparking dating rumors due to the actress’ appearance in the Tickets To My Downfall artist’s sultry “Bloody Valentine” music video.
In October that same year, MGK told NME their whirlwind romance was part of the inspiration for his fifth studio album, which became his first to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Two years later, in January, the couple got engaged.
Elsewhere in the new interview, Megan Fox also spoke about Machine Gun Kelly’s new blackout tattoo.
“He has a really special story behind why he did that, which obviously, I’ll leave for him to tell,” she said. “Whatever [his old tattoos] represented — and I don’t actually know — but he didn’t like to revisit those memories of some of the tattoos that he had and he wanted to get rid of them.
“I think it’s really elegant and it’s kind of ahead of its time,” the 37-year-old added. “I think in 10 years it’ll be a trend … He did it fully awake with no pain killers. I don’t actually know how he endured that level of pain.”
MGK spoke about the tattoo on his new single “don’t let me go,” which he released last month.
“Laid in the bed, thinking maybe that hate will finally go away if I’m not alive/Wish I didn’t listen, just like I wish they would understand me one time/I had a breakdown, and tatted my entire body except one line/Everything’s just fine,” he raps on the song.
