Marvel for Dummies series hopes to explain it all
A baffled world is finally getting the information they crave in a format all can comprehend. Dummies, the Wiley imprint that presents complicated topics in an approachable form, has turned its attention to Marvel and will publish a SIX BOOK SERIES bringing “the beloved characters of Marvel Comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe to fans through Dummies’ approachable and engaging books.”
First up, this February, Marvel Comics For Dummies and Captain America For Dummies. The complex worlds of the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, Spider-Man, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe will follow later in 2025.
You’ll note they do not DARE to publish The X-Men for Dummies, because…that just isn’t possible.
The first two books will be written by Troy Brownfield and Stuart Moore, respectively, so they got actual experts to write these books. Promising. They will be full length tomes, and given the intricacies of the various multiverses in which the Marvel stories take place…a simplified guide is badly needed.
Jennifer Yee, Senior Editor at Dummies said “We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Marvel to bring the Marvel Universe to fans through Dummies’ signature style of accessible, friendly storytelling. For new fans looking for a primer to the Marvel Comic Universe, to superfans alike, this series of books will serve as approachable reference guides to some of Marvel’s most popular and enduring super heroes.”
