Mandy Moore has a bone to pick with Amazon.
On Tuesday, the This Is Us star took to Instagram to voice a gripe with the online retailer… Specifically their delivery department! On her Story, she shared a photo of the remains of a burned down home, which she claimed her in-laws’ lost in the LA fires. And no, not just a bit of damage here and there… It was completely burned to the ground, leaving little more than rubble, ash, and the front steps remaining. And if you look closely, you’ll notice something sitting on said steps: a brown box seemingly wrapped with Amazon’s signature tape! She angrily wrote:
“Do better, Amazon. Can we not have better discretion than to leave a package at a residence that no longer exists? This is my mother and father in law’s home. SMH.”

Oof… Yeah, that was a bad call. Why wouldn’t the driver think to call the recipient?? Or just bring the package back to the warehouse?! Wouldn’t it be triggering to have to return to their leveled residence to retrieve it?!
Mandy’s grievance reverberated across the web — all the way up to Amazon higher-ups. Because shortly after, spokesperson Steve Kelly issued the following statement to People:
“We’ve reached out to Ms. Moore via Instagram to apologize for this and to ask for more information from her in-laws so we’re better able investigate what happened here. For weeks, we’ve advised those who are delivering on our behalf in southern California to use discretion in areas that were impacted by wildfires — especially if it involves delivering to a damaged home — that clearly didn’t happen here.”
