Man shot in south Macon strip mall, Bibb Sheriff’s Office says

MACON, Ga. — A 44-year-old man was shot in a Macon strip mall on Houston Avenue Monday night, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

It happened at a strip mall within the 3200 block of Houston Avenue, the press release said, and they received a call about the shooting at around 9:25 p.m.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and took the victim to a medical facility where he is currently being treated. They say he is listed in critical condition.

The victim was the only person injured during the shooting.

The sheriff’s office says they will provide more information when it becomes available. 

The sheriff’s office notes that this information is preliminary and information can change as the investigation moves forward.
