He said two people fired shots at each other at the Lakeview Apartments in Fort Valley just after 8 p.m.
While no one was hurt, Flores said bullet fragments hit near a bedridden woman in one of the apartments.
Officers arrested a man in a white Camaro that witnesses reported was possibly involved in the shooting.
Flores said they are currently interviewing that person.
They also impounded the car, and are processing it for possible evidence.
