After Yatra 2, Mammootty is all set to be back in theaters with his much-awaited film Bramayugam. The actor is indeed on a roll and has been starring in back-to-back movies. In Bramayugam, he is portraying a never-seen-before character and there is a massive buzz around the film’s theme. While its trailer has left viewers intrigued, the megastar himself urged fans to have an open mind when they watch the movie.
Rahul Sadasivan has written and directed the movie, while Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios produced it. Apart from the Malayalam megastar, Arjun Ashokan plays a pivotal role in the film. Moreover, Sidharth Bharathan, Amalda Liz, and more have been roped in to play supporting characters.
Mammootty claims Bramayugam’s narrative is different from its trailer
According to a report by Indian Express, Bramayugam’s trailer launch event recently took place in Abu Dhabi. During the event, Mammootty addressed the audience and educated them about the movie.
He also had a request for his fans that he shared during his speech. He said, “I have a request to all of you who are planning to watch the movie. While the trailer may have sparked various ideas, I urge you not to jump to conclusions about the story. I am saying this so that you are not disappointed [that the original narrative is different from your assumptions].”
“Watch the film without preconceived notions and refrain from anticipating the emotions it is going to elicit in you, as it can affect your viewing experience when the predictions come true,” Mammootty added.
Mammootty explained how keeping an open mind while watching Bramayugam would be beneficial for cine-goers. He said, “This will be a fresh experience for Malayalam’s new generation because they are about to witness many things, which they usually enjoy in color, in black and white in this movie.”
Bramayugam will be released in theaters on February 15, 2024.
