Make Christmas ornaments Sunday at Monroe Walton Center for the Arts – Your Local News

Sunday, Dec.15, Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts has two opportunities for the community member to try their hand at making some unique Christmas ornaments to showcase the season in their homes this year.

From 1:30 – 4 p.m., Kim Lester is offering to guide you in the creation of resin art to craft some ornaments with quick drying resin. The cost for this class is $35 and that includes all the supplies you will need. This class will walk you through the process of creating eye-catching ornaments using ReDesign with Prima molds, Metallique Waxes, Acrylic Paints, etc.

By the end of the session, you’ll have several beautiful, custom-made ornaments that are ready to showcase or gift!

This class is for all skill levels, ages 16 plus. Click or tap on this link to register by Dec. 14.

From 2 to 4 p.m., Rebecca Braswell will guide you in making a beautiful pottery Nativity. The cost for that is $40, again with all supplies included in the price. Each will be hand built (patterns provided) and glazed a creamy white. If you’d like to add the gold to the star, there will be an additional fee of $10 that can be paid at the time of the class.
