Love Actually star Martine McCutcheon announces split from husband Jack McManus after 18 years
Actress Martine McCutcheon shocked fans this week when she announced she and her husband Jack McManus were separating after 18 years together and 11 years of marriage.
The Love Actually star, 48, shared a lengthy statement on her Instagram Stories on Thursday, claiming it was her husband’s “decision”.
“After much thought and consideration, Jack has decided it’s best for us to separate after 18 years together and I accept his decision,” she wrote in the statement.

“We are both so very blessed and grateful for our beautiful, nine-year-old son Rafferty, who’s [sic] happiness and welfare has always been, and will continue to be, our number 1 priority.
“… Whilst this decision has evolved over a period of time, we are still finding our new way forward as a family and kindly ask for some privacy at this time… especially for our little boy,” she wrote.
She then included a message to her soon-to-be ex-husband, writing that she wishes him well.

“Many thanks in advance for you respect and support at this difficult time… And I continue to send Jack all the love, luck and happiness for the next chapter of his life,” she said.

The pair tied the knot back in Lake Como back in September 2012.
In December last year, the star shared a tribute to her husband as she marked 17 years together.
The star, who portrayed Natalie in Love Actually, wrote at the time: “17 years since we first laid our eyes on each other at that live music venue in Piccadilly! What a ride it’s been baby!”

She added in part of her post: “Thank you for coming into my life to witness all the ups and downs and everything in between.”
“When the chips were down and everyone else left, you have always been the one to stay, always there, keeping me going and taking care of me in a way I didn’t know existed.”
