Lloyd Doesn’t Like Funny Marco Grilling Him Over Cheating Song

Lloyd has been interrogated by Funny Marco over an old song about infidelity — and he didn’t appreciate the line of questioning.

Comedian and YouTuber Marco took to Instagram on Wednesday (March 22) to share a DM conversation he had with Lloyd about his 2007 single “Player’s Prayer.”

Quoting lyrics from the song, he wrote: “Hi Mr Lloyd Listen to Players Prayer You said All I need is one more chance one more chance/ I was just playing wit them girls/ I was gonna get right back/ I was trippin yo love is where it’s at/ I’m on my knees/ Lord please show me some love.’”

Marco then boldly asked Lloyd: “Why was you playing around with her [in] the 1st place??”

Taking offense to the message, the Louisiana native responded: “Hi Mr Marco, why are you asking me about something from almost 20yrs ago? Are you just now falling in love for the 1st time? I’ve got kids now and more important things to do. PLease don’t make me block you.”

While publicizing the exchange on his Instagram page, the comedian wrote in the caption: “That song motivated us to cheat, and he thought that was ok. Tuh! Ruined my 10th grade relationship, I had to DM him about it. Talkin bout sum, Players Play!!!! Smh.”

He also confirmed that Lloyd had followed through on his threat, commenting: “Yeah he block me somebody tag him.”

However, Lloyd seemingly took the jokes in stride as he added in the comments section: “I wrote that record for my girlfriend who was 6’3 because she caught me cheating with a girl that was 5’2.”

Earlier this month, Nelly and Ashanti‘s unborn child received a special message from the baby’s future “uncle” Lloyd.

The R&B singer took to Instagram just a few days before getting into it with Funny Marco and shared a photo of him on stage with Ashanti, singing to her belly.

Lloyd: ‘You Can’t Have A Murder Inc. Reunion Tour Without Ashanti’

He wrote: “Dear Baby Haynes, you are surrounded by love, by good energy, and by ppl who have prayed for your piece [sic] of mind way before you were born.

“One day I will tell you of the times I got to sing to you while still in your mothers belly, of how your mommy changed my life, and of how your dad was there for me when I needed a little love and guidance. Can’t wait to meet you and make you laugh. Inshallah, Your Uncle Ladi [infinity emoji, heart emoji, baby emoji].”

Ashanti was clearly touched by Lloyd’s words, commenting on his post: “Omggggg I’m cryinggggg and u know I don’t cry… Thanku Ladi love u soooooooooo much!!!!! Such beautiful and meaningful words… I truly appreciate you so much. I’m literally crying.”
