Lil Yachty has often used his reach in the music industry to elevate other artists and those signed to his Concrete Boys imprint are evidence of that — but there are certain things he won’t do, even for his signees.
In late September, the 26-year-old hosted his label’s roster on A Safe Space Podcast to discuss everything from music to dating to friendship. However, it wasn’t until recently that a clip involving Karrahbooo, who calls herself the “First Lady of Concrete,” began circulating online.
The interview clip shows the rising star defending her use of the n-word, despite being criticized for it by fans and and those who listen to her music.
“I do, like, get kinda annoyed how everyday somebody’s commenting, ‘Why do y’all keep letting her say n-gga?’ Or they be like, ‘Can you stop saying that?’ Stuff like that, y’know,” she said. “So why don’t y’all go ahead and defend me to everybody right now?”
Boat swiftly shut down her request by replying: “That won’t happen … you shouldn’t say it,” leaving his fellow Atlanta rapper visibly shocked.

While the discussion around Karrahbooo’s use of the n-word continued, with the group talking about white people using the racial slur, Karrahbooo later clarified that Lil Yachty wasn’t being serious.
“We was playing y’all don’t know us anyways idgaf smdd,” she wrote in a comment on The Neighborhood Talk‘s Instagram post. “I’m black idgaf what y’all talm bout y’all don’t know me bored ass people.”

Karrahbooo is relatively new to the game, though she had one of her first big industry hits earlier this year with “BOX THE 40.” Released in late March, the music video features a cameo from Lil Yachty and has over 230,000 views on YouTube.
More recently, she rapped alongside Lil Boat and the rest of the Concrete Boys crew in an On The Radar freestyle that premiered in late October.
