Yikes. Lala Kent is going through a serious health scare right now! An unsettling growth in her right eye has been diagnosed as pre-cancerous!
Earlier this week, the Vanderpump Rules alum told followers on her Instagram Story she had “been obsessing over” the growth, which first started “maybe a month and a half, two months ago, where it was like the slightest bit of discoloration” on her sclera, or the white part of her eye. She reflected:
“‘This is so weird, like what is that?’ Like, a week and a half ago [it] started to look like a blister to me.”
She previously saw an eye doctor who thought it might be an inflamed pinguecula or a reaction due to allergies and gave her eye drops that didn’t work, prompting her to see a “very highly recommended” expert.

Lala saw that new doc this week and had a biopsy done — and she finally has the results back. Returning to the ‘gram on Wednesday, she revealed:
“Alright, you guys, I have an update on the eye. So I got a text with the doctor that I went and saw last night at 10:30 p.m. I’m so grateful. He said, ‘The specialist can see you tomorrow at 9 a.m.’ So I was there at 9 a.m., she looked at it, she said that it is pre-cancer and she said, ‘I want to start you on chemotherapy drops.’”
Oh, no! Acknowledging how nerve-wracking this is, the Give Them Lala podcaster continued:
“Now, I know that sounds terrifying. I cried obviously because when you hear that word [cancer]. She said, ‘I want you to do the chemo drops for three months. We’re gonna do a week of them and go off for three weeks, and we’re gonna do that for three months.’ At that point in time, God willing, it kills all the cancerous cells. If it doesn’t, we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it and talk about surgery. So there’s the update.”
So scary, especially for a single mother of two young children! We really hope the treatment plan works!!
On Tuesday, the reality star opened up about how difficult it was to be facing a health scare like this, sharing:
“I’ll have friends come to me and they’re going through a health situation and I’m like, ‘It’s gonna be fine. You’ll be good. Like, we’re gonna figure it out. We’ll cross bridges when we get to them.’ Then when you’re placed in this situation, all you can do is just sit here and stress and think about every possible horrendous situation. And all of the advice that you give to people completely goes out the window.”
