Lala Kent wasn’t so sure about Ariana Madix‘s new boyfriend, Daniel Wai, when she met the fitness trainer amid production on the upcoming 11th season of Vanderpump Rules.
In a sneak peek at the new season, Lala, 31, admits to questioning Daniel’s motives to her mother, Lisa Burningham, as she also addresses Rachel “Raquel” Leviss‘ recent suggestion that none of the cast reached out to her after season 10 during an appearance on Amazon Live.
“Ariana gets a new man and I’m like, ‘What’s his motive? This is weird,’” Lala tells her mother in the clip as a photo of Ariana and Daniel in New York City flashes across the screen.
“There’s nothing wrong with you questioning this, that, and the other right now. You’re more aware. Your blinders are off, so of course you’re gonna think those things,” Lisa replies.
“About everybody,” Lala notes, seemingly in a nod to her messy split from ex-fiance Randall Emmett, 52, who she accused of cheating on her with numerous women.
“It’s okay. You’re gonna work through it. All in steps,” Lisa assures.
As for Raquel’s claim that she hadn’t “heard from any of [her Pump Rules co-stars]” after filming the season 10 reunion special in March, just weeks after her months-long affair with Tom Sandoval, 41, was exposed, Lala confirmed that she “did try” to get in touch.
“I got no response,” she shared on Amazon Live, via Heavy. “You know I don’t even know what I was hoping for when I reached out to her.”
According to Lala, the reason why she reached out to Raquel will be revealed on season 11.
“You guys will see it play out,” she noted. “And you know what, do I regret reaching out to her? Was I glad I reached out to her? You’ll just have to find out.”
Also during her appearance on Amazon Live, Lala reacted to the trailer for Raquel’s new podcast, Rachel Goes Rogue, during which Raquel shaded Sandoval as “manipulative.”
“I think a lot of things,” she said of the sneak peek clip. “Again, I was not directly involved. I’m only going off of things that I’ve heard and then certain things that I saw that led me to think that they were creeping around. But as for the inside of the relationship, I have no idea.”
Vanderpump Rules season 11 premieres on Tuesday, January 30, at 8/7c on Bravo.
