Kyle Richards said she’s giving her husband Mauricio Umansky a “taste of his own medicine” after he failed to attend her event because he was ‘out of town.’ Meanwhile, Sutton Stracke suggested Mauricio should show up for his wife unless he’s “dead in a ditch.”

Tensions between Kyle and Mauricio are rising on the current season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills – a show that once depicted them as a power couple. Now, as most Bravo fans know, the couple has separated amid rumors that they’re seeing other people.

During a preview of the upcoming episode, Mauricio asked Kyle about her recent event, which honored the life of her late friend Lorene.

“So what’s going on with everybody? Tell me about that event,” he said in an awkward car ride, via bravotv.com.

For a moment Kyle just stared at him.

“I wanted people to enjoy themselves, but also address the topic and honor Lorene,” she said finally. “I was trying to find that balance.”

“None of the guys went, right?” asked Mauricio, and Kyle shook her head.

In a private confessional, Kyle shared her real feelings on the matter.

“Would it have meant something to me if all of a sudden he showed up at the event for Lorene?” asked Kyle. “Of course it would have. You know, he was close with her also.”

A past clip showed Lorene’s mom asking Kyle if Mauricio would come, and she said he was ‘out of town.’

Back in the car ride, Mauricio explained he’s been “traveling so much.”

“You have been,” agreed Kyle, filing her nails as Mauricio stared out the window. “Now I’m going to be traveling.”

Mauricio shook his head in surprise when Kyle revealed that she was headed to Spain.

“It’s a little taste of his own medicine,” said Kyle in the confessional. “Because there are many times where all of a sudden he’s like, ‘Oh, I’m off to Portugal. I forgot to tell you that I’m leaving for Chicago.’ I don’t really get a heads-up. So… Oops.”

In another scene, Sutton asked Kyle where Mauricio was traveling during the event.

“He was in Aspen and then Mexico City,” said Kyle.

“Doing his stuff?” asked Sutton.

“Yeah.”

In Sutton’s confessional, she claimed she’s “not accepting the excuse” Mauricio is “giving,” and she said husbands should show up to support their wives unless “you are in the hospital or dead in a ditch.”

“You show up for your wife,” said Sutton, “and your wife’s dead best friend’s family.”
