Things have not been good for RHOA alum Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann. Not only are the two going through a very public divorce, but they are having major money problems. Now, Kroy is saying he wants everything divided equally.
Fans know Kim has been using social media to sell off her designer items, some of which she has never used. However, the question has come up before about how much of the revenue is being put towards the couple’s debts.
Now, according to US Weekly, Kroy just wants things to be equal. According to Kroy, Kim “acquired an expansive collection of designer purses, shoes, and clothing ” during their marriage. As mentioned before, many of the items were never worn. He also says the items are “worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.”
He goes on to say that he has no idea what she has done with the money earned from selling the items. However, a source tells US Weekly that “with the money Kim got from selling items, she paid the bills and got the kids Christmas gifts since Kroy gave the memories.” The same source said, “He still has no job and is sitting at home doing nothing.” Kroy didn’t buy gifts for any of the kids during Christmas.
Now, it’s being revealed how much Kim has made over the years. According to legal filings, she made $80,000 per episode of Don’t Be Tardy. Kroy was also paid for the series, raking in about $20,000 per episode. The show ran on Bravo from 2012 until 2020.
Season 8 of Don’t Be Tardy had a total of 12 episodes, meaning Kim earned $960,000 for that season.
Kim also made about $600,000 per season of RHOA, which equates to about $3 million for her five-season run. Kroy made a little over $14 million during his NFL career.
The legal document also says, “Given the parties’ dire financial situation, it is critical that all marital property subject to equitable division be identified and then preserved by the Court.”
Hopefully, things will improve for Kim and Kroy this year. Of course, Kim could always relaunch her music career to earn extra money. It seems Luann from RHONY does decently well with her performances, and so does Candiace from RHOP.
