Keisha Nash death: Forest Whitaker’s actress ex-wife dies at 51

Actress and producer Keisha Nash, the ex-wife of Forest Whitaker, has died at the age of 51.

Their daughter True, 25, shared the sad news on her Instagram story on Thursday (Friday in Australia).

“Goodbye mommy. I love you 4ever and beyond,” True wrote over a picture of her late mother.

“The most beautiful woman in the world… thank you for teaching me every single thing I know.

“I’ll see you in my dreams and I’ll feel you in my heart.”

The official cause of death has yet to be revealed.

Whitaker, 62, and Nash, shared True and Sonnet Noel, 27, together. They also have two older children from previous relationships.

The pair reportedly met on the set of 1994’s action thriller film Blown Away. 

They married in Jamaica in 1996, but filed for divorce in December 2018.

Whitaker has yet to publicly comment on the shock news. 

Nash reportedly told Essence in 2020 that about her first thoughts about Whitaker after watching him in 1991’s A Rage in Harlem.

“Right away, I thought Forest had a gentle soul and a nice spirit,” she said.

She is known for being Tommy Hilfiger’s first African American model and for roles in Proud and Kassim the Dream.
