Katie Maloney on If Tom Sandoval Has Worked on Himself

Katie Maloney is revealing if Tom Sandoval has worked on himself since getting caught cheating on Ariana Madix with their friend and Vanderpump Rules castmate Rachel “Raquel” Leviss.

While appearing on a podcast on Tuesday, Katie, 36, offered an update on Sandoval, 41, as she recalled meeting her ex-husband Tom Schwartz‘s Winter House co-star Katie Flood, 31, shared her thoughts on their “bizarre” relationship, and slammed Raquel, 29, over her new podcast.

On the December 12 episode of Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe, after being asked if Sandoval has worked on himself, Katie replied, “Not in the slightest.”

“Apologies are words. When someone’s really sorry, you see that they’re sorry,” she explained. “You see it with behavior modification… It’s one thing to say you’re sorry. It’s one thing to prove that you’re sorry… Like he stopped drinking, but what does that have to do with what you did and said?”

“He doesn’t understand why this was such a big deal,” she continued. “He said on [Tamra Judge] and [Teddi Mellencamp]’s podcast, he’s like, ‘Yeah, I guess it was a slow news day [and] literally everyone has cheated…’ Yeah, people were doing that when they were like young. You’re not supposed to still be making those stupid mistakes and choices when you’re in your 40s.”

Following the breaking of “Scandoval” in March, Sandoval pulled out of his potential appearance on Winter House season three as Schwartz moved forward with his role, and he ultimately enjoyed a short-lived fling with castmate Flood, who Katie recently met.

“I met her at BravoCon briefly when I first got there, and she’s beautiful. She works on a yacht,” Katie said of Flood.

During their time together on Winter House, Schwartz was thoroughly freaked out by the fact that Flood had the same first and middle name as his ex.

“Yeah, he had a problem of just like having a thing with her. It was so bizarre,” Katie admitted of the issue.

Moving on to Raquel, Katie wondered why her former Pump Rules castmate waited until now to release a podcast.

“It’s kinda like, why now? I don’t know. I haven’t heard from her. I don’t think anyone has. I think it’s like, girl, why didn’t you just come back on the show?” Katie noted. “I think you want to tell your side, I think you should have just come back this season. I think it would have gone a lot differently than she imagined it would have. I understand her reasons for probably not wanting to because she was at a facility taking care of her mental health… But I think if you wanted to have your side of the story… I just don’t think, at this point, we’ve kinda heard it.”

Katie then called out Raquel for potential hypocrisy.

“I think if your plan was to not come back to the show, just stay out of the spotlight, and just to go live a quiet life, she should have stuck to that, but she’s like going to the iHeart sh*t, back on the red carpet, just kinda thrusting herself back into the mix of it all, and it’s like what?” she asked. “Just do whatever the f*ck you wanna do but it doesn’t make a lot of sense.”

As for whether or not she tuned in to Schwartz’s season of Winter House, Katie confirmed she did.

“I’ve watched Winter House… Of course, I’ve wanted to watch this because I’m curious. I’m not affected by what he has going on… And I wanted to like see, like I have other friends that are on the show,” she explained. “I knew about what was going on in real-time as well… We like to roast each other so I did give him a little sh*t about the name thing. I was like another Katie, well I’m Katie #1…But I was never like, ‘How dare you,’ or mad.”

“I think a lot of people think that like because of what happened last year with like Raquel or Rachel or whatever it was, with him kissing another girl that I have issues with him. But I was like, get it,” she added.

Vanderpump Rules season 11 premieres January 30 at 8/7c on Bravo.
