“He’s horrible,” he quipped. “He tells you before you work with him, ‘you’re going to hate this,’ and he’s so right.”

The comedian went on to share the details of a dinner where him and Grant bonded, describing it as “the best night.”

“We got drunk having dinner, that was the greatest night,” he told Fallon. “He’s so cool and he’s got that English thing, you know that witty… he looks good in a jacket… he’s one of those guys.”

Seinfeld shared that he didn’t originally consider Grant for the film, until the English actor reached out to him saying he wanted to play the Frosted Flakes mascot (or Frosties as they’re known in Australia) Tony the Tiger.

”He did an audition on his phone, with a glass of wine in the other hand by the way. And, you know, like I care what the audition was, I go ‘Yeah you’re Tony the Tiger, sure,” laughed Seinfeld.

Prior to the show, Seinfeld had shared with Fallon a text he received from Grant earlier in the day.

Fallon took a screenshot of the message, and had Seinfeld read it aloud to the audience.

“Just watched the film. To my great surprise I liked it,” the text read. “Laughed out loud. All actors were good. Even you. Love, Hugh.”
