Don’t mess with Jennifer Lopez’s children!
The Unstoppable actress attended the premiere of Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal‘s revival of Othello in New York City on Monday. And she brought her 17-year-old Emme as her plus one! So sweet! In an Instagram carousel, she shared the most darling photo of her and the teen posing in their glammed-up looks. J.Lo had on a two piece black dress adorned with sparkles while Emme wore a chic pinstripe suit — a monochromatic duo! See (below):

But the good vibes quickly shifted once the duo exited NYC’s Ethel Barrymore Theater — as a paparazzo apparently got in the teen’s face and J.Lo did NOT like it one bit!

A source told Page Six the Hustlers star went full “mama bear” mode when a “huge paparazzi camera” came between her and her child. According to the eyewitness, the photographer shoved the lens in Emme’s face and J.Lo “yelled at the guy.”
Good for her! Premieres are probably out of Emme’s comfort zone as the teen typically sits out big events like this. Mom may be made for red carpets, but that doesn’t mean her kids are! So the Atlas star was just doing what any protective momma would to make sure her child is okay.
Other than that, though, it seems like it was a great night! Maybe Emme’s twin brother Max will accompany J.Lo next time?
