Jennifer Aydin is under fire for body-shaming and misgendering a woman at BravoCon after being asked why she was up Teresa Giudice‘s butt — but she’s not backing down.
As the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member, 46, continues to be slammed as “despicable,” “nasty,” and a “horrible role model” for her five kids, Jennifer is clapping back at the backlash, noting that “you get what you give” while doubling down and further slamming the fan as a “whale.”
“Soooo [Jennifer Aydin] … wondering what you’d do if a kid called out of your daughters a ‘BIG BOY with a big mouth?’ ??? Body shaming and knowingly calling them wrong gender. How would you feel?” a fan asked Jennifer on Twitter after the cringeworthy moment went viral.
“My daughters would never start with something rude, and if they did, [they] would deserve a response- [and] they know that,” Jennifer replied. “You can’t be rude to someone and then be shocked when they say something rude back. Actions have consequences.”
In a second tweet, Jennifer continued, “Disappointed that they said something so rude, and that they deserved it. That’s exactly how I feel. Bad behavior has repercussions. So Live and learn and just Be Nice!”
After defending her behavior, fans lashed out at Jennifer, with one signaling to the weight struggles of one of her kids.
“Like weight shaming someone when you have a daughter that looks up to you that struggles with weight?
Like that?” they wondered.
Another person tagged Bravo in a tweet in which they suggested she should be fired from RHONJ.
“Just watched the clip of Jennifer Aydin body-shaming one of the attendees at BravoCon. Despicable. Shame on her. [Bravo] time to give an example. It’s 2023. Body shaming has never been cool but much less nowadays,” they noted.
“Jennifer knows damn well that is a WOMAN so she’s CHOOSING to purposely mislabel & misgender & be messy. That’s nasty work,” stated a third.
Others described Jennifer’s behavior as “disappointing” and “disgusting.”
“You’re a horrible human and a horrible role model for your children. Period!” one fan wrote.
“Oh [Jennifer Aydin] when you go after fans you have crossed a line. So I hope when Teresa gets fired that you will be riding her coattails all the way out the door and the sooner the better!” someone else shared.
Meanwhile, in a Story shared by Bravo and Cocktails on Instagram, Jennifer was seen further insulting the woman.
“The whale waddled out,” she wrote in a comment.
Jennifer then attempted to defend herself in another tweet, writing, “In life- you get what you give-nice=nice. Mean=mean. There are no exceptions. Remember that.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 14 is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime in early 2024.
