Jeezy Responds To Infidelity Claims By Jeannie Mai

Jeezy‘s legal team has responded to claims the rapper stepped out on his soon-to-be ex-wife, Jeannie Mai after she requested the court uphold an infidelity clause in their prenuptial agreement.

The talk show host’s newly filed motion — which suggested that her ex-husband cheated — came on the heels of Jeezy (real name Jay Wayne Jenkins) accusing his estranged wife of  “gatekeeping” their daughter, Monaco, which has created “unnecessary tension and confusion.”

On Thursday (November 30), Mai filed an answer to the rapper’s claim in Fulton Superior Court insinuating that she has proof that he cheated on her. TMZ reports that the document asks the court to enforce a section of their prenup that deals with infidelity.

In a statement to UsWeekly on Saturday (December 2), Jeezy’s rep denied the accusation saying: “Any claim of infidelity on Mr. Jenkins’ behalf are 100 percent false and we have no further statements at this time.”

Although the specifics of the pair’s prenup are unclear, the agreement — signed by both parties in March 2021 — contains a penalty for stepping out during their marriage.

That section “provides…that in the event that either party engages in sexual relations, an emotional relationship, or is emotionally or sexually suggestive in communication with a third party via all forms of electronic communications, including but not limited to texting, sexting, Facetiming, social media and/or Direct Messages, shall result in a significant financial penalty upon the adulterous party,” it reads.

Mai’s answer stopped short of naming Jeezy’s alleged mistress, stating she “does not wish to specify herein at this time in the hope this matter can be resolved without having to disclose such conduct publicly.”

Further, Mai is requesting an “equitable division” of all marital assets.

Jeezy’s Wife Jeannie Mai Ditches His Surname Amid Divorce Battle

In 2021, Mai and Jeezy jumped the broom during an intimate ceremony at their Atlanta home; and welcomed their daughter in 2022. However, their love affair would come to a screeching halt in September of this year, when news broke that the “Church in These Streets” rapper had quietly filed for divorce.

In a statement announcing his move to dissolve the marriage, Jeezy said: “The decision to end this chapter in my life was not made impulsively and comes with a heavy heart. Despite this, my love and respect for Jeannie remains and the time we spent together holds a cherished place in my heart.”

He continued: “Our beautiful daughter is the best gift from our relationship, and I am committed to assuring she feels the love and stability she deserves. During this period, I kindly request that you respect our family’s privacy as we focus on healing.”

In the months since, despite declaring they’ve still got love and respect for one another, the pair have been embroiled in a custody battle with Jeezy requesting joint physical and legal custody of their child.

Mai has asked for sole “final decision-making authority” regarding Monaco’s care as well as primary physical custody, while honoring Jeezy’s request for joint legal custody.

Jeezy has three other children from previous relationships.
