Jason Statham’s New Action Movie Mutiny Casts Villain With Citadel Star, Filming Also Wrapped In New Update

Mutiny has announced its latest star as the film wraps shooting. Mutiny is an upcoming thriller featuring action star Jason Statham. The film tells the story of Cole Reed, a man who has to take the fall for a crime he did not commit when his billionaire boss is murdered in front of his eyes. Entrenched in an international conspiracy, Cole is forced to go on the run. Statham takes over the lead role of Cole Reed in Mutiny, with a supporting cast that includes Annabelle Wallis, Lee Charles, Jason Wong, and Ben Cartwright.

As per Deadline, one of Mutiny‘s latest stars has been announced as the film gets a major production update. This star is Roland Møller, who will play the lead villain opposite Statham’s protagonist in Mutiny. Also boarding the film will be Adrian Lester and Arnas Fedaravicius. Beyond their casting, no further details about these new actors have been revealed. The report did state, however, that Mutiny has now finished its filming in the UK and Malta. The film does not yet have a release date.

What This Means For Mutiny

Møller Could Bring An International Appeal

While none of these three actors are as well known as the likes of Statham, all three new actors bring an interesting background to the set of Mutiny. Møller is most recently known for playing Anders Silje on the Prime Video series Citadel, but he has also been in films such as Atomic Blonde and The Commuter. Lester has also recently collaborated with Prime Video, contributing his talents to the fantasy epic series Renegade Nell earlier this year. Fedaravicius was recently cast in The White Lotus season 3 and also has credits that include Deadly Code and Shetland.

The Filming Progress Is A Good Sign

As Mutiny finishes its on-set production, the biggest lingering question is when the film will be released. Statham has a busy upcoming slate as he reteams with The Beekeeper‘s David Ayer for the 2025 movie Levon ‘s Trade as well as the upcoming 2026 film Fast X: Part 2. This did not seem to get in the way of Mutiny, as the film has finished shooting. With Statham a huge draw to the movie, it is likely that Mutiny will want to go through post-production as quickly as possible, which could lead to a release date as early as late next year.
