Is Someone Else In The Silo With Juliette & Solo?
Warning: Spoilers ahead for Silo season 2, episodes 1-3!Silo season 2, episode 3, “Solo,” provides clues to suggest that Juliette Nichols and the installment’s title character are not alone in Silo 17, but there could be another explanation to account for these teases. Although Steve Zahn’s Solo has been part of the Silo cast since the current season’s premiere, his emergence from the vault at the end of Silo season 2, episode 3, is the first time the character has been fully shown. Now that Rebecca Ferguson’s character has a more solid companion, the story can turn to whether or not they have unknown company too.
Silo‘s intriguing premise makes it a brilliant addition to Apple TV+’s library of sci-fi shows. The story’s recent continuation picks up immediately after the end of Silo season 1, allowing for a seamless transition between the two batches of episodes. After stumbling into an identical Silo due to her exile from her home, Juliette has quickly realized the macabre fate that awaits her family and friends if she doesn’t return to Silo 18. That being said, there could be other perils stopping her other than the conditions on the planet’s surface.
Silo Season 2 Episode 3 Hints That Someone Else Is In Silo 17
The camera angles in “Solo” are intriguing
As far as Juliette and Solo are concerned, they are the only living people currently in Silo 17. Juliette has explored the structure quite extensively for different reasons, but she hasn’t encountered anyone else other than Zahn’s character. However, Silo season 2’s third episode makes use of some interesting camera angles that suggest otherwise. They almost seem to be point-of-view shots, with the subtle implication being that someone is watching Juliette and Solo without their knowledge.

Silo Season 2 Episode 1’s Closing Song Perfectly Foreshadows What’s To Come For Juliette
Silo season 2 may seem as though it’s going to be unpredictable, but there’s a massive musical clue at the end of “The Engineer” that gives it away.
Although not impossible, it’s unlikely that the protective watcher is a survivor of Silo’s 17 community. Instead, they could be a remaining member of the armed forces who clearly tried to make their way into Solo’s vault, and didn’t die like their accomplices. As implied by Juliette in the episode, the fallen soldiers hadn’t been there as long as the bodies of the Silo’s original inhabitants, so the stranger may have escaped the conflict and hidden away from Solo ever since. Alternatively, they could be another exiled wanderer, like Juliette.
A Third Person In Silo 17 Could Also Explain The Message On The Doors
The word “we” implies there is more than one stranger lurking in the shadows
Near the end of “Solo,” it’s revealed that Zahn’s character has been faced with the words “we will get in sooner or later“ etched onto the wall each time he has chosen to open his peephole. The episode doesn’t reveal who wrote the threatening message, but the person who did so may be the one implied to be watching Juliette and Solo. While it could simply be left over from the community’s revolution as shown in the Silo season 2 premiere, it would be a little unusual to show the writing if it didn’t later become relevant again.
