The co-showrunner of Invincible has offered some insight as to when the remainder of season 2 will premiere. The animated Prime Video superhero show was created by The Walking Dead‘s Robert Kirkman and follows Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), the teenage son of a superhero who begins to develop superpowers of his own. Although the first four weekly episodes of the eight-episode season 2 premiered this November, the remainder of the season has yet to receive an official release date.
The Hollywood Handle recently conducted an interview with co-showrunner Simon Racioppa about Invincible season 2. When asked if the season was originally meant to be split into two parts, Racioppa revealed that the split came about because “some issues came up.” He also shared that season 2 part 2 is set to premiere “after a few months.” Read his full quote below:
The decision was made afterwards (to release Season 2 in two parts). As we started producing the show, some issues came up, talked to Amazon, so we thought this was the best way to present the show, now, with these four episodes instead of making audience wait even longer. We will come back after a few months and give you the rest.
