Interview with William Bernhardt, Author of Justice For All (Daniel Pike Legal Thriller Series Book 8)

What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Justice For All (Daniel Pike Legal Thriller Series Book 8)?

This is the eighth book in the Daniel Pike legal thriller series, and Dan is brought into a billion-dollar lawsuit against Kenzi Rivera, the protagonist from my Spiltsville series. I thought a cage match between titans would be a fun premise for the book.

If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of Justice For All (Daniel Pike Legal Thriller Series Book 8), what would they be?

Dan: “Born to Run”; Kenzi: “Wild Thing”

What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

Nonfiction, but I have always loved comic books, and you’ll see that throughout this book.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

The Demon of Unrest; Y: The Last Man on Earth.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

The scenes involving the comic books, especially the covers we had designed especially for this book.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

It’s a happy day when Bustopher decides to sit in my lap, but I always have a blanket. Unless I don’t. I’ve learned to write wherever I am.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

You cannot fail if you refuse to quit.

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

Artists deserve to be rewarded for the creative work that makes our lives so much richer.
