Interview with R C Ducantlin, Author of The Granite Bay Murder Club

What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write The Granite Bay Murder Club?

I had an idea about telling a story from third-person view and not revealing the narrator’s gender or identity.

If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of The Granite Bay Murder Club, what would they be?

That’s easy, there is a playlist on YouTube titled “The Granite Bay Murder Club”. Start with “Baby Hold On” by Eddie Money.

What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

It’s not the same. I am writing muder mysteries and prefer to read sci-fi.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

The books I am writing aka, my WIP.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

The shocking ending.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

None come to mind.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

This too, shall pass.

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

That there is always someone who is worse off and never look down on people.
